I was very sad to hear that Angela had passed away last week. My condolences to Angela’s family and loved ones. She was truly a great person who always put others above herself. I first met Angela when she conducted my background investigation at GPD in 1983. After I was hired she continued to “watch over” me and the others from “her flock”. She remained a mentor to me throughout her career and after. But more than that, Angela was a true friend whom I admired and respected. There is definitely a spot reserved for her in Heaven! “Non Solus” = “Never Alone”.

I had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Angela at a Pokino group. From the very first meeting we wind up having a lot in common, mainly dialysis! Being a former patient and now a recipient of a cadaver organ donor our conversations were interesting. I recall her tell me one of those many evenings of gaming that I was her hero and someone she looked up too! I felt honored that such a wonderful person would give me that honor. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones. May God in heaven give you peace and understanding. RIP, my sweet Angela! You will be missed!

Teresa Mayfield Zubia left a message on November 24, 2019:
I have been family for 53 years and unfortunately had only heard about her until 15 yrs. ago when we first met. She was so sweet and treated me like she had known me her whole life. She welcomed me with open arms and while my mother and I were there she took us to see the carved trees, she took us to Moody Gardens and we even had dinner at her house. She eventually met my son and again she greeted him with open arms. He never forgot that and even made a point to see her again when he was in Galveston. It would have been a loss to me and my family had we not had the opportunity to meet and spend time with her. She will be truly missed by all. Prayers to you all!
