I met Ann in the 9th grade at Westchester High in Houston. I knew her until our junior year, but then lost touch. I remember so clearly when she was in the horrible car accident, in which there were fatalities of two of our friends. My sister and I spent a lot of time in her apartment. I remember her father, also. I often wondered what had become of her. I wish that I had known that she lved so close by after all of these years. I was sorry to learn that she had multiple myeloma, which is a cruel malignancy. I would like to espress my sincere condolences to her family and friends. Rest in peace, Ann.

Annie was more than a friend to me, she was family. We shared many things, including our on going struggle with multiple myeloma. Annie was the strongest, most inspirational person I’ve ever known. Annie was my very first true friend when I arrived in Galveston, she took me into her confidence and made me feel like we’d known each other forever. There were so many mornings we laughed, cried and encouraged each other over coffee at Randall’s. Our mutual love of animals, fitness and coffee gave us many opportunities to make great memories. My heart & prayers go out to Hank and her family. I will miss Annie very much and I know in my heart I will see her again someday.
