Anthony Joseph (AJ) Tuttoilmondo Jr. passed away Saturday, Sept 16, 2017 in Santa Fe, Texas.

AJ was born December 10, 1935 in Galveston, TX, the eldest of 2 children of Anthony Joseph Tuttoilmondo Sr & Catherine Marie Ciaccio Tuttoilmondo.

AJ graduated a year early from Ball High School in Galveston, TX. Growing up, AJ took tap dance lessons with his sister Carol (Bootsie) and played in the marching band in junior high and high school. He also played drums in a band that toured the Texas – Louisiana coast for several years

AJ enlisted into the United States Navy and was honorably discharged on December 14, 1961.

AJ Tuttoilmondo, Jr. married Bettejane (Tootie) Click on September 24, 1960 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Hitchcock and together they settled in Santa Fe, Texas to raise their three children, Mike, Mark & Cherri.

AJ was a Christian man who had a strong faith in the Lord. He was an honorable man, whose word was his bond, sealing it with a hand shake. He was a man’s man who provided for his family by working hard by the sweat of his brow and with his own two hands. With his wife by his side together they taught their three children the same respect towards life, property and others.

AJ owned Tony & the Man Paint and Body Shop in Galveston Texas for many years and then relocated his shop to behind his house for many more years in Santa Fe, TX. Everyone would come from miles to get their vehicles fixed at AJ’s shop because they knew things would be done the right way. Tony & the Man quickly became a family business with AJ’s dad, Tiger, and Uncle Jimmy always there to offer up their advice or shoot the breeze as they drank coffee around the shop table. As AJ’s sons grew up, Mike and Mark worked alongside with their dad for many years.

AJ loved the outdoors, things like golfing, fishing, hunting and working in the pasture on his tractor and especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.

AJ was preceded in death by his parents Anthony Joseph Tuttoilmondo Sr & Catherine Marie Tuttoilmondo.

He is survived by his children: Mike Anthony Tuttoilmondo, Mark Anthony Tuttoilmondo and Cherri Tuttoilmondo; daughter-in-law: Jessica Tuttoilmondo; grandchildren: Mark Tuttoilmondo Jr., Sterling McIntosh, Blake Morris, Ryan Morris, and Dylan Morris; sister, Carol Ann Tuttoilmondo Sasser and her husband, Wayne Sasser; niece: Lori Ann Walker Cummings; and numerous other relatives and friends.

AJ’s family will receive visitors beginning at 9:00 am, Saturday Sept 23rd, 2017, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home with burial following the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston.
