Obituary

Bertha Lee Kline, 104, of Galveston, passed away Thursday, August 21, 2014, at Gulf Health Care Center. She was born March 13, 1910, in Galveston and graduated from Ball High School. Bertha was a homemaker and member of Central Christian Church, where she served as Historian and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a charter member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #48 Ladies Auxiliary, as well as a member of their Abundant Life Group.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Clifford Kline; sisters, Jessie May Houston and Ruth Edwards; and brother, Bert Wallace.

Bertha is survived by three nephews and a niece.

Bertha’s family will receive visitors from 4:00 until 7:00 pm, Monday, August 25th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, August 26th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Rev. John Allums officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Joe Musick, Bill Ross, Gene Lucas, Charles Felts, Jake Feigle, and Matthew Loughram.
