Beth Anne Lavenberg, 54, of Bellville, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Houston, Texas after her long battle with cancer.
Born to Helen Bernander and the late Robert Michael Lavenberg on September 1, 1961; She was the middle of two siblings, Cary Bernander and Melissa Cartwright.
Beth was a fun-loving, free spirit. She had an electric personality and could coax a smile out of anyone. Her passion for music was known by all, but the blues had a special place in her heart. She often took spontaneous trips to the beach, as she loved the smell of the salty air and the feel of the sand between her toes. She had many hobbies including sewing, tie-dying, collecting records, and spending time with her friends and family.
She also developed a devotion to helping others. After graduating as an LVN from Blinn College, Beth began her journey as an ER nurse at Bellville General Hospital. After years of service, she made a courageous decision to begin a new journey as a nurse for Brazos Valley Hospice. She cared deeply for her patients, often putting their needs before her own.
Beth is survived by her three loving children along with their spouses; Philip Mathew Wendt, Sara Beth Sanders and Jason Adam Sanders, Rachael Marie Blasig and Michael Scott Blasig; mother, Helen Bernander; brother Cary Bernander; sister Melissa Cartwright and brother-in-law Shea Cartwright; grandchildren Dallas Wendt, Elijah Blasig, and Maysa Wendt, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 11th at 11:00 AM at Malloy and Son Funeral Home in Galveston, TX. Flower arrangements may be sent to 3028 Broadway Galveston, TX 77550, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
