Betty Jean Schuster, 82, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012, at The Meridian. She was a proud BOI, born January 11, 1930, to Ruth and Ed Carney. Betty graduated from Ball High School and spent her early years working at Eiband’s with her mother. She then became a happy homemaker and loving mother. Betty was an active member of First Lutheran Church.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband, George W. Schuster, Sr.; and her sister, Maureen.

She is survived by her son, George Schuster, Jr.; grandson, William Edward Schuster; niece, Sandra Janik and husband, Augie; and numerous other nieces and nephews, as well as her loyal canine companion, Buddy.

Betty’s family will receive visitors beginning at 4:00 pm, Friday, December 28th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm, led by Rev. Doug Guthier.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church, 2415 Winnie, Galveston, TX 77550.
