Obituary

Bryan Alan Crowder, 52 of Jones Creek, Texas passed away unexpectedly Sunday, July 29, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 27, 1960 in Galveston, Texas to William Frank Crowder and Catherine Henderson Crowder.

Bryan graduated from La Marque High School in 1978 and attended Sam Houston State University. He was a past member of the Freeport Jaycees and a charter member of the 400 Club. His hobbies included cooking with the Circle B Cookers bar-b-que team and driving his golf cart through the neighborhood visiting with friends. Bryan enjoyed living on the Brazos River and especially enjoyed watching his sons and their friends fishing and boating on the river. He also enjoyed his Styrofoam cup drink with “antioxidants.” Bryan worked in sales for various heavy equipment rental companies throughout Texas and was presently employed by Texas Gulf Refrigeration (TGR) in Angleton. Bryan never met a stranger and has a host of friends, which is evident by the love and support shown to his family during this difficult time.

Bryan is survived by his mother; his sons, Collin and Caden; and his sister Laura Richardson, her husband Don, their son Bart Richardson, and their daughter Abby BeMent and her husband Alex and their son Bo.

He is preceded in death by his father and his loyal companion, “Wink.”

Please join the family for visitation Wednesday evening August 1st 2012, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, Galveston, Texas from 5:00-8:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 2nd 2012, 10:00 am at the Brazos Pointe Fellowship, 1027 Dixie Drive, Clute, Texas.

Bryan will be laid to rest next to his father at Galveston County Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas at 2:00 pm, Thursday August 2.

Pallbearers are Bubba Buchanan, Larry Bollinger, Pat Pessarra, Mili Mezulic, Derrick Bowers, Tim Lindsey, Janie Tumlinson, and Cindy Larson. Honorary pallbearers are members of the 400 Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the American Heart Association.

A special thanks to Brenda Stanley, Ginger Schmidt, Katherine Savel, and Jennifer Smith.

A celebration of Bryan’s life will take place at his house, 5:00 pm Thursday afternoon. All are welcome to share “Crowder stories.”
