Carlina Cecilia Chionsini, 65, formerly of Galveston, died Thursday, November 10, 2011 at her home in Texas City.

She was born November 22, 1945 in Galveston, Texas to Emmanuel J. Chionsini and Jennie M. Stallone Chionsini. “Meme,” as she was known to her loving family, graduated from Ball High School in 1965 and was an employee at Bank of America for 27 years. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and was a Eucharistic minister. She enjoyed baking and adored spending time with her family and friends.

Carlina is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Emmanuel Chionsini, Jr. She is survived by her sister, Vivian Rhew, and husband, Lawrence, Sr.; nephews, Lawrence Rhew, Jr., and wife, Jill, and John Rhew and wife, Denise; great niece, Madeline Rhew; great nephews, Ian, Will, and Nicholas Rhew; and numerous additional family members, Godchildren, and special friends.

Carlina’s family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 am Saturday, November 19, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 12:00 pm at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Rosemary Glazner, Al Hieronymus , Bennie Rabago and to Carlina’s many other wonderful friends. Carlina’s presence in our lives will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

My family and I would like to extend our condolences to Carlina's family. I remember her when she, her mom would sit outside the Star Grocery store with Ms Lena and Robusto during the evenings. She was a sweet person. May she rest in peace. The Moreno Family
