Carolyn Ophelia Middlebrook Lapeyrouse, 76, of Texas City, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010, at her residence.
Carolyn was born January 13, 1934, in Galveston, Texas. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Emile Lapeyrouse, Sr.; mother and father, Herbert and Mamie Middlebrook; two brothers, Euelle and Kenneth Middlebrook; and sister, Shirley. Survivors include her sons, Emile and Mark Lapeyrouse; daughter, Karen and husband, Mark Herbert; daughter, Debbie and husband, Steve Packard; and daughter, Sharon and husband Dennis Zajack. Carolyn is also survived by 11 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and was awaiting the arrival of three additional great-grandchildren with great anticipation. She is also survived by her cousin, Nancy Zeller as well as close friends, Teresa Lapeyrouse and Sharon Baron.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 24, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Grayson Glass officiating. Burial will follow the service at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston.
The family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jean-Paul Lapeyrouse, Joshua Hebert, Jason Herbert, Andy Vidal, Ryan Packard, and Jacob Zajack.
