June 26,2021 Dear Carolyn's Family, I read the heartfelt obituary last night on the online newspaper. I understand the sadness and loss you all are feeling. The Carolyn I remember is the younger version. She was a very special Cousin, Godmother, who taught me to tie my shoelaces and print my name. I recall how beautiful she was in those frilly prom dresses and as a June bride. I know she was another "Daddy's Girl". It is probably no coincidence that Uncle Raymond's birthday was June 25. In an email she wrote "I'm so old. I'm 80" with a tone of how did this happen? Her joyful, loving presence will be missed. It truly was a gift. Please know you are in my thoughts as you gather on the island to celebrate your own wonderful BOI. Love from Cousin Frances in Durham,North Carolina.

Charlie, I am so sorry to read of your loss. I know what you are going through, and my heart goes out to you & your family. Carolyn was such a sweet lady & I remember a conversation we had about her lipstick color she always wore & I purchased some for myself & it was not only her favorite but it became my favorite as well. Red geranium, I believe. Stay strong. I’ll be praying for you. I have found that the death of a loved one just makes us long that much more for heaven. Love
