Christine Grace (Tina) Cronkright passed away on October 20, 2013, in Webster, Texas. Tina was born in Jersey City, New Jersey to Ralph and Philomena Cirone and lived in New Jersey until moving to Houston, Texas in 1975. She has been a resident of Galveston since 2006.
Tina spent many years in the Houston area raising her family and pursuing her many hobbies, which included playing bridge, golf and the piano. A Licensed Professional Nurse, she was a sympathetic caregiver and a devoted wife, mother and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Walter Cronkright; daughter Patty Dalheim and her husband Bill of Houston, Texas; daughter Nancy Cronkright of Houston, Texas; and son Philip Cronkright and his Belinda of Huffman, Texas.
Other surviving loved ones include grandsons Kirk and Nicholas Dalheim and granddaughter Calista Cronkright; brother Ralph Cirone and wife Sandy of Vero Beach, Florida and Groton, Vermont; sister Grace Coulson and husband Leonard of Sebastien, Florida; sister-in-law Janet Whyland and husband Bill of Marcellus, New York; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A mass will be held in her honor at Sacred Heart Church, 1302 Broadway, Galveston, Texas, at 11 am on Saturday, October 26, with a celebration of her life scheduled for 2 pm Sunday, October 27 at the Galveston Country Club, 14228 Stewart Road.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to The American Cancer Society.
