Clara K. Wallstein, 73, of Manvel, Texas, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2014. The family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm, Friday, April 11, 2014 at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A Vigil and Rosary will begin at 7:30 p.m. led by Deacon Sam Dell’Olio. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 12, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Galveston led by Father Maynard Tetreault, OFM.
Clara was born June 27, 1941 in Galveston, Texas. She was a graduate of Ursuline Academy. Clara worked for many years as a physician’s assistant but her greatest accomplishment was being Nana to her beloved grandchildren. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard Ellis Darney and Margaret Elizabeth Sweeney Darney, husband Franklin Adam Wallstein, sisters, Patricia Darney Plowman and Mary Ellen Darney Kuhl.
She is survived by daughters, Catherine Wallstein Pyle and husband Ernie; Patricia Wallstein White-Harden and husband Micah; sister Marjorie Darney Macklin and husband Richard; grandchildren Jarred Adam Thomas Pyle, Jordan Taylor Pyle, Samantha Taylor White, Hayden Tucker White, Micayla Harden and Micah Harden, Jr., numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her nephews James Darney Plowman, Robert Ellis Darney, Daniel Richard Macklin and beloved grandsons Jarred Pyle, Jordan Pyle and Tucker White.
Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Pyle, Micah Harden, Keith White, Tyler Horn, Kaitlyn Roy, Jordan Ann Carrillo, Meagan Cisneros, Micayla Harden and Micah Harden, Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to CNA’s Yvonne Martinez and Virginia Garza and Nurses Jennifer and Mia from Laurel Court who treated our Mom with the utmost love and dignity that words cannot begin to express our gratitude; along with Brazoria County Meals-On-Wheels volunteers Dave, Ava and Jeannie and the Vitas Hospice team.
