A wonderful man, a fantastic scientist, and a very funny guy. I was very pleased that he chose to collaborate with me. And that he found this side of the Traber family. I am sure he is in heaven telling funny stories!

Dan was a great friend, mentor, colleague, and tour guide! We had so many great times in Galveston, Vienna, and elsewhere. He lived life full to brimming, perhaps more than anyone I have ever known. My mother, Shirley McLellan, joins with me in sending heartfelt condolences to Lillian, Daniel, and all their family and many friends.
