Obituary

Deborah Lynn Chapa, 59, of Dickinson passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015. She was born August 12, 1955 in Galveston, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alcides Jose “AJ” Chapa.

Deborah is survived by her mother, Theresa Chapa; brother, George Chapa and wife Gioconda Segovia-Chapa; sister, Sylvia Chapa and wife Giselle Hewitt; and brother, Robert Chapa and wife Terry Chapa; nieces and nephews: Joey, Stacey, Ian and Bella.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 24, 2015 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm at Malloy & Son Funeral Home in Galveston. A rosary will begin at 6:30 pm. Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Galveston and burial will follow at Mount Olivet in Dickinson, Texas.

Two of Deborah’s greatest loves were for the Catholic Church and animals. In lieu of flowers, please donate to either Catholic Charities or the Carolina Waterfowl Rescue, P.O. Box 1484, Indian Trail, NC 28079.
