Sorry for your loss. I would talk to Don all the time over the years but had not seen him in a few years after moving away. He was always picking on me when I was a kid telling me to make sure I didnt act like my brother and stay out of trouble. I could call on him for help when needed also. My family knew him for a long while and my thoughts and prayers are with you and yours during this time of loss and sorrow. God Bless

Don was a good man and a good friend. He was so proud of Amber and "Bubbie." I tell people if Don would have charged all the people he towed or pulled out, he would have been a rich man. Don was rich in his heart. I will miss seeing him every morning at the Exxon...

Amber, Don Jr and family- Please know I have lost a "really exceptional" friend in your dad. Soon after my folks moved to Santa Fe, we all met Don and there was an immediate friendship. I am blessed to have known him and my own mom enjoyed having him eat with us and share holiday meals when possible. I know the lawns in Heaven will be groomer meticulously now. I miss hearing "hey bub", when we'd meet on the street, stopping traffic to get in a visit. He remains a special buddy forever.
