Obituary

Eddie May Cooper, born in Anahuac, Texas on November 3, 1923, went to be with the Lord on April 23, 2015. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Conrad Wilson Cooper Sr.,

She is survived by her son, Conrad Cooper Jr.; granddaughters, Cookie Hopkins and Carrie Valdez; great grandchildren, Nathan Hadley and Reagan Hopkins; along with numerous other family members and friends that loved her.

She graduated from South Houston High School in 1941. She worked as a cashier for many years and retired from Garlands Grocery Store. Eddie May was a member of Moody Methodist Church. She loved gardening at her home in Galveston, where she lived with her husband until 2008. She lived at The Pointe Rehabilitation Center until her passing, where she was greatly loved and cared for by all the residents and staff.

Graveside service will be 2:00 pm, Monday, April 27, 2015, at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock with Pastor Joe Schwenk officiating.

Very sorry to hear about Eddie May. I remember her from when she worked at Piggly Wiggly on Broadway, when I used to go to the grocery store with my mother. My mom always made it a point to go through her checkout lane. Eddie May was such a kind person.
