Obituary

Elvira (Ybarra) Caballero, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 13, 2013, in Rowlett, Texas. Born in Del Rio, Texas on February 13, 1919, she spent most of her life in Galveston. Vera married Raymond Caballero and had three children.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her oldest son, Raymond Jr.; her brother, Joe Ybarra; and her sisters, Linda Duran, Aurora Birmingham and Alicia Munoz.

She is survived by her son, William Caballero; daughter, (Eladia) Marie Smith; daughter-in-law, Lupe Caballero; and her sisters, Bertha Pena and Ramona Angel. She loved being around her family and friends, especially her 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Vera’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm, Friday, January 18th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am, Saturday, January 19th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Don Caballero, Cameron Davidson, Nick Garcia, George Huerta, J.P. Smith and Kristian Vasquez.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity or Hospice plus of Dallas.

so sorry for your loss willie. i knew her in the 60's when i was married to gene bentley. she was a great lady and a great lady knows when to exit.
