Josie and I loved Patsy. She had one of the most wonderful smiles that God ever. She would never talk of her problems, only of yours. When I had some medical issues a few years ago, she would frequently call to see how I was doing. We were heartbroken to hear of her passing. Unfortunately I am out of the country and Josie cannot be there. Please Dear Lord take care of Louie in this, his time of need. Bruce and Josie Woodcock

My dear Aunt Patsy was truly one of the kindest souls God ever created. I remember her passion for teaching, her deep love for my Uncle Louie and her children (my three cousins) and their families. Her smile warmed any room. What I remember most is that she loved ME. She always asked penetrating questions that showed she wanted to know more about my life than what was manifest on the surface. That was a rare gift in my life and I will treasure my memories of her until we are reunited in eternity.

Patsy Runge was a very special woman. I always admired her beauty and grace. When talking with Patsy you had her undivided attention. She was truly caring and shared in your joys and pains. There is no one who could write a thank you note like Patsy Runge. You actually wanted to thank her for the beautiful note. Patsy adored her children and grandchildren and shared in all their accomplishments. Patsy Runge was indeed a very special woman! Karen and Richard Sutton

Beautiful inside and out. I know my Nee Nee and Poppy will be there to great her. I have known Patsy all my life. Sooo many many memories of love and laughter…. over so many years. “Patsy and Louie”… it was like a single name, and was the perfect descriptor for a life long love. I will miss her so very much.
Paula Canton left a message on August 27, 2021:
We knew her as Miss Whelton, a Santa Fe class of 7th graders, and we were fascinated by her youth and beauty. She took us on as a first year teacher fresh out of college. She shared her engagement and wedding plans that year and we were excited to pitch in for a wedding gift and flowers at the end of the year. Do teachers really make a lasting impression on their students? A few do, and she did!
