Gale was born March 25, 1938, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He graduated from
W. B. Ray High School in 1956. Gale moved to California where he worked as
a Branch Manager for The Golden 1 Credit Union. In California, he combined
his love of motorcycles and his passion for protecting children by becoming the
founding member of Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) California. He later
helped start the Sacramento Chapter in the late 90’s. Along with others, he
spent several years lobbying the state of California to reform the laws
concerning child abuse and, through his advocacy and efforts, succeeded in
changing the laws regarding how those cases were handled by the courts. In
2005, he returned to Texas and settled in Galveston. Gale transferred to
BACA Gulf Coast and was the court liaison for Galveston County. He was well
known by all the judges and the attorneys in the District Attorney’s office.
Gale left BACA in 2010 to help mentor and form Guardians of the Children
(GOC) Gulf Coast Chapter and was court liaison for Galveston county. All
the GOC children loved him dearly and could always count on him to stand by
them no matter what.
Gale is survived by his daughter, Kimberly V. Vizurraga; brother, Jack A.
Kay and wife, Cathy; and sister, Deborah Sue Gregory.
