Sorry I cannot find words sufficient to describe how very sweet and kind Gladys was to all of us at Galveston College. She was sweet and kind beyond description, going to great length to make me feel cozy and comfortable in her office, and I enjoyed every conversation with her. She really was an angel. People like her are the reason my days at GC were bright and cheerful. We were all blessed by her daily, and miss her deeply.

Rest in peace Dear Gladys. You were wonderful to work with. Loved your Little Debbie Oatmeal pies, your beautiful smile and outlook on the world, and the history you would share with me about the island and the 1900 Storm. It was a blessing to have you for friend, you were such a sincere, kind, and genuine person. Thank you for the times we shared.

Truly one of God's chosen. Gladys always served - a dedicated and caring woman who sincerely tried to always provide whatever individual assistance she could imagine for each of the thousands of people who passed through her world. She was the consummate care taker of those for whom she was responsible, taking the extra steps to assure each received her timely attention. A loving spirit who cared about and looked after her fellow people. She raised a beautiful and wholesome family and now joins Socko and the throngs of angels forever. We learned so very much from her and are better for having known her.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Gladys was a special friend at St John’s. When I moved to Galveston and joined St John’s 11 years ago, she was one of the first people to befriend me and sat next to me at Bible class. I will always cherish the memories of her beautiful smile and her beautiful soul.

We have known Mrs. Jones since 1986 , we met her thru her son Paul. She was always a sweet and welcoming mother figure to all of us. Many visits made to their house and always offering something to eat or at least snack on. You will be missed Miss Gladys - Soar with the Angels.
