James Linnier Walker, 72, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, at UTMB Hospital. He was born March 5, 1941, in Galveston and grew up on the island. After graduating from college in Beaumont, TX, James spent his working career in California as an HR executive in the manufacturing industry, spanning over 40 years. In 2007, James retired and returned to Galveston with his wife, Robin Ann. He enjoyed his weekly coffee with many of his lifelong friends. James’ sense of humor and endearing personality made him loved by all who met him.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Lois and James Woodrow Walker; and brother, Jackson Lawton Walker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robin Ann; children: Eric Walker, Angie Claire Smith and husband, Robert; and Colleen Trubia and husband, Pat; grandchildren, Katy and Peyton Trubia; and stepson, Sky Schermerhorn.
Per his wishes, James will be cremated and no services will be held.
