Jane Everett Breslin, 88, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, September 3, 2014, at The Meridian Care Center. She was born October 18, 1925, in Galveston, to William A. and Louise Poole Breslin. Jane was employed with the Santa Fe Railroad until it moved to Topeka, KS in the 1960’s. She also fulfilled the role of “Dad” for her nephews Richard and James, taking them fishing and spending time with them after the death of their father. Jane’s loves in life were her dogs, of which she had many over the years. She attended both Grace and Trinity Episcopal Churches in Galveston.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Mary Grace Breslin and Florence Breslin Roach; brother, William Edwin Breslin; and niece, Elizabeth Ann Breslin.
She is survived by her nephews, Richard John Roach of Galveston; James Arthur Roach and wife, Elizabeth, of Highland Village, TX; and Bill Breslin of Houston; nieces, Beverly Breslin Trcka, Mary Lee Breslin Anderson, Patricia Breslin Dundee, and Laurie Spangenberg Schiebel; sister, Dorothy L. Breslin Spangenberg and husband, Ronald, of Norfolk, VA; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
