Obituary

Janet Maddin (Willner) passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family in Galveston, Texas on March 2, 2018 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born on August 29th, 1957 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Wausau, WI as the daughter of the late Willard and Bernice (Michalski) Willner.

Janet is survived by her children: Jamie Steichen, Stacy (Andy) Hooyman, Steffany (Aaron) Villalobos; granddaughter, Sofia Marshall; siblings: Diane Charles, Mary (Gerard) Potvin, Mike (Nancy) Willner, Barb (Dean) Schlintz, and Willie (Justine) Willner; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews as well as many friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Bernice (Michalski) Willner; sister, Rae Jean Willner; and the father of her daughters, Alan B. Steichen.

My deepest sympathy to Janet’s family. I’m a classmate of hers from grade school through high school. I had many good laughs with her! Two of my sisters worked with her at Evergreen Nursing Home and they enjoyed her great sense of humor too. Her and I shared a love for the Shawano Lake beach, she’d be there with her girls and I’d be there with my daughter. Everyone liked Janet! May God comfort you in the days, months, ahead as you adjust to life without her.
