Janet Rae Bullacher, 68, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015, at UTMB Hospital, after a courageous battle with a lengthy illness. She was born February 18, 1947, in Lewiston, Idaho. Janet retired from UTMB in 2008 and belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church in Galveston. She was a Girl Scout leader for many years and volunteered at Burnet Elementary. Janet loved the Rocky Mountain wilderness and traveled there as much as possible. She loved camping with her family and spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren on the weekends.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Josephine Sanders; brother, Dennis Sanders; and sister, Marcena Walraven.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene Bullacher; daughters, Christine Hayes and husband, Jeremiah, and Valerie Gil; sister, Paula Alberta; grandchildren, Zachary and Madeline Hayes; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Janet’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm, Thursday, June 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm, led by Deacon Sam Dell’Olio. Graveside services at Calvary Cemetery will be private.
