Jennifer Armantrout was born on April 27, 1988 in Galveston, TX to James and Susan Armantrout. She was a 2006 graduate of Ball High School & 5th generation BOI. She owned and operated local cleaning service, Island Mermaid Cleaning, continuously furthering herself as contributor to our island community. Jenny truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; spending time with family, friends and her children, absorbing all of the ocean air and opportunity life had to offer. Wherever the sun shined, surely you would find Jenny’s smile inside of it or following right behind. She is survived by her parents, James and Susan; sister, Natalie; son, Banks; and daughter, Judith.

Family, friends and others whose lives Jennifer touched are invited to Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, beginning at 5:00 pm on Friday, September 13, to support, grieve and reminisce with each other.  A service celebrating Jennifer’s life will begin at 6:00 pm.

James and Susan, I never met Jennifer, but she is a part of you James so she must have been incredible. I am so sorry for your loss. We knew each other all our lives All of the children on the "West End" grew up together. You will never forget Jennifer or the pain, but it will get easier over time. Just know your family are in my thoughts and prayers always. Love, Francine

I really don't know where to start she was one of my best friends i could ever possibly ask for growing up on the Island with as kids. I meet her by being babysat by her mom while my parents Eric Muehr and Carol Muehr worked during the day. It was like a second home for me, Susan and James were amazing people and always treated me like a child of their own. I only grew up with one brother but when i was around Jenny that all changed it was as if i didn't have just a friend but a sister. That's just how golden she was just a big ray of Galveston sunshine that will be truley missed by myself my family and so so many others. I'm terribly sorry for y'all's lost and if anything is ever needed please reach out to me. Sincerely Lee John Muehr

Susie James and family So sorry to hear of Jenny’s death I can still see her as a little freckle face girl holding Lee Johns hand as they walked to your house from school. May your memories of happy times with her lessen your grief. With deepest sympathy, Carol & Eric Muehr

To the family of Jenny, Jenny is a person I wished I had kept in close contact with. She was always a good friend and kept things real with me in high school while also being there for me when I needed it. She was such a genuine person (who also didn’t take any bullshit)- I can only hope she maintained that strength and shared it with her children. About a year ago she reached out to me on Instagram and it was so nice to get a glimpse into her life after high school. She had such beautiful kids and I am so happy to see that she had such a successful life with her family and her business. I will always have such fond memories if Jenny. I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Jenny's smile and laughter were so beautiful, one couldn't help but smile and laugh back. Even at a very young age, she was so sweet and caring as were her parents and sister, Natalie. My children were a part of her mother, Susie's Day Care at their beginning and for many years. We all enjoyed being a part of their world.

Jenny, I will miss you. Mardi Gras simply will not be the same without your huge smile. Be free in the ocean and be the mermaid you’ve always wanted to be. ❤️
