Jerald Andrew Crider (Jerry) – 65 – died Tuesday March 6, 2012 at his home in San Leon. A memorial service will be held beginning with a visitation at 1 pm Sunday, March 25 at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. The memorial service will begin at 1:30 pm. Hawaiian shirts, shorts, sandals or flip flops are acceptable attire and are encouraged.

Jerry was born July 25, 1946 in Massillon Ohio, graduated from Kirwin High School in Galveston, went to Lamar University, was in the National Guard, and then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. until he retired.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Frances Crider in 1994 and his father Luster Crider Sr. in 1982.

Survivors are his daughters, Carole Crider Ellis of Galveston and Andrea Crider Wooley of League City; son, Nicholas Crider of Hitchcock; brother, Luster Crider; and sister, Christy Crider Bohnert. Grandchildren are Brandi Patina, Sara Caron, Julie Ellis, David Jerald Ellis (D.J.), and Xena Wooley. Great grandchildren are Monique Ellis, Evelyn Dick and Brianna Dick.

Honorary pallbearers are Luster Crider Jr., George Bilotta, Curtis Donahoo, John Koleng, David Jerald Ellis, and Harold Bohnert.

A room has been reserved following the memorial at Golden Corral, 6200 Seawall Blvd, for friends and family to gather beginning at 2:30 pm.
