John was a friend of Jesus, I met John a few years back. He loved to be in service for Christ. Just like his name I found this verse for Him from the gospel of John 15:15 No longer (does God call you John)servant, for the servant, does not know what his master is doing; But Jesus calls you His (friend) because Jesus showed you the way. Amen John may you rest in peace my friend know God loves you and gave you peace in is arms.

Brother John Livingston was a man after God's on heart. He truly loved the Lord and he loved people. He was a kind and faithful member of Reedy Chapel African Methodist Episcopal church, in Galveston, where the Rev. Mary Reed was his pastor. He loved singing in the choir, participating in our Sunday School Classes and making others feel good about themselves. Always lending a helpful hand in any situation with a smile. He will truly be missed! Our prayers and condolences are with the family. Rev. Mary Reed Pastor of Reedy Chapel
