Kenneth William Lester Hofstetter of League City, TX passed away peacefully on May 29, 2019. Ken was born on February 20, 1939 in Englewood, NJ. He is predeceased by his parents, Evelyn M and Lester C. Hofstetter, his wives, Arlene, Dianna and Joyce Hofstetter and 2 great grandchildren, Bethany and Elise.
Ken was a Master Printer and Lead Press Operator at the University of Delaware in Newark, DE and Mercantile Press in Wilmington, DE until he retired in 2000. Ken and Joyce moved to Englewood, FL soon after retirement and enjoyed spending time on their boat and with friends. In 2005, they moved to Texas to be closer to family.
Ken was a member of the Elks Lodge in Kemah and the Parrot Head Club of League City. Ken loved the Chicago Bears and enjoyed going to watch his team with friends at Time Out Sports in Webster. Ken also loved boating, fishing and crabbing. In his early years, he was part of a club of individuals who customized vans: his was named The Green Goddess. More recently, Ken could be found playing Bingo at Regal Estates Assisted Living with his friends.
Ken is survived by his 3 children from his first wife, Arlene, – Denise, Keith and Fred (Michelle) and grandchildren, Nicole, Neil, Erik, Terri and Randy, and great grandchildren, Chayton, Jacob, Lacey, Wolfgang Vaughn and others.
He is also survived by 5 stepchildren from Joyce Fuhrman, James (Nan), Chuck (Lauren), Jeff (Grace), Trudy and Tracy (Grace). Ken was affectionately known as Pop Pop to his grandchildren, Joy Crawford (Trey), Chuck (Natalie), Danielle, Joseph, John, Mark (Tiffany), Taylor, Shania, Gage and Austin along with great grandchildren, Colt, Cassidy, Brooks, Amira and Connor.
A small family memorial service will be held at a later date.
