Marciano R. Izaguirre, 85, born on July 3, 1926, in Mexico, passed away Tuesday, May 01, 2012, at UTMB Hospital. He lived a very happy life with Maria, his wife of 37 years. He loved fishing, planting, and carpentry.
Marciano leaves behind his wife, Maria; stepdaughters, Ruth Hernandez of CA; Norma Gutierrez and husband, Jorge, and Sandra Alvarado and husband, Martin, of Dickinson; stepson, Marcos Hernandez and wife, Laura, of CA; grandsons: Tony Gutierrez and wife, Natalie, Joaquin Gutierrez and wife, Darlene, and Michael McCormick, all of CA; George Gutierrez and wife, Dina, Javier Gutierrez, of Galveston, Daniel Gutierrez, Israel Carrera and wife, Gloria, David Alvarado and wife, Karina, all of Dickinson, Marcos Gomez, of Galveston, Marcos Hernandez and Victor Hernandez, both of Arizona; granddaughters, Naomi Irani and husband, Romin, of CA, and Noeli Hernandez of Arizona; numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Marciano’s family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Thursday, May 3rd, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm.
Funeral mass will be 10:00 am, Friday, May 4th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with burial following at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
Pallbearers will be George Gutierrez, Javier Gutierrez, Daniel Gutierrez, Israel Carrera, David Alvarado, and Marcos Gomez.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jorge Gutierrez, Martin Alvarado, and Fidencio Leija.
The family would like to thank the staff of The Meridian that helped care for Marciano.
