Margie L. Hunter, of Galveston, Texas is now at peace and eternal rest with our Heavenly Father, her husband and son. She passed away on Christmas morning 2011.
Margie was born April 3rd, 1924 to Edward Joseph and Ann Elizabeth Bullacher. She devoted her life to being a homemaker and raising her 3 sons with lots of love and care. For many years she looked forward to her Friday morning visits with her friend and beautician, Barbara at Hair County USA , and her monthly luncheons with long time friends at the Telephone Pioneers gatherings and at the monthly Widows luncheons and having breakfast and coffee at McDonalds and IHOP.
Margie was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 60 years, Edward A. Hunter Jr.; son, John A. Hunter Sr.; and sister, Lorraine Russell.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Tom E. Hunter (Sandy) of Galveston and Mr. and Mrs. Edward A. Hunter III (Mary Donna) of Texas City; grandson, John A. Hunter Jr.; and a sister, Edna Reynolds of Texas City.
Margie’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Wednesday, December 28th, 2011, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 29th, 2011 at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Grayson Glass officiating. Graveside service will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock.
Pallbearers include John A. Hunter Jr., Robert Donovan, Richard McLaren, Bill Anderson, Dr. Daniel V. Piazza and Dr. Joseph M. Piazza.
The family would like to thank Dr. Nancy Hughes, Dr. Todd Masel, the great nursing care she received from Linda and Steven and Patient Care Techs, Jeri and Darrell of unit 9C and Rebecca in the ER for the great care and attention our mother received.
We will miss you very much “Momma!” You will forever be in our hearts.
