Beverly McCormick left a message on January 7, 2022:
my sincere sympathy in the loss of Mary. I only knew her about a year at Emerald, but I was richer for her friendship. She and Ellen made a beautiful home filled with meaningful items and precious memories of fun times and family times and travels. She always had a smile at water aerobics and a zest for life. I took a photo of their cruise boat leaving Galveston in Dec. She was excited for the cruise. May she Rest In Peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

It was a true pleasure to have known Mary, if only as an acquaintance. She radiated joy and was such a vibrant staple and positive role model in the LGBTQ community and beyond. The world was a better place because Mary was in it. My deepest condolences to all of those whose lives she touched along the way.
