Nell Edna Marschner, 94, of Galveston, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2012, in Houston, Texas. She was born December 11, 1917, in Galveston, to Florence Westrup Marschner and Alfred Carl Marschner. Nell was the youngest of three daughters. She graduated from Ball High School and then worked for American National Insurance Company until her retirement.
Nell was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Muriel Marschner Moore and Dorris Marschner Colwick; and her brothers-in-law, Ben H. Moore and John Cameron Colwick.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews: Clair Williams, Ben H. Moore, Jr., William C. Moore, Glynell Bunch, Robert L. Moore, Jean Crouch, and Marsha Moody, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be held from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm, Monday, November 26th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, Galveston. Graveside service will be at 1:30 pm Monday at Calvary Cemetery, 2506 65th Street, Galveston. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Guthier officiating.
