Nora E. Voigt, 88, of Pearland TX, passed away May 20, 2011 at Memorial Hermann
Southeast Hospital.
Nora was born in Wiltshire, England March 12, 1923. Nora worked as a riveter at a
spitfire factory and in an ammunitions plant during World War II before meeting and
marrying Albert while he was in the 82nd airborne division U.S. Army stationed at Tilshead, England.
Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Albert P. J. Voigt Jr.; and son, Louis F. Voigt; grandson, Steven; parents, Agnes and Frederick Poolman; brother, Gordon Poolman; and sisters, Winifred Piper and Jean Stubbs.
Nora is survived by five daughters: Mary Baker and son-in-law Dean; Rosalyn Sloan and son-in-law Gary; Evelyn De Soto; Angela Paschal and son-in-law John; and Jean Ellen Levin and son-in-law Dan; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and numerous
nieces and nephews in the U.S. and in England.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 4th at 10:30 a.m. at Malloy & Son
Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, Galveston, TX 77550.
