I knew Pete love to fix up houses so when I wanted to build a new garage I ask Pete to help me. He was more than willing. We built a two stall garage from the ground up. There wasn't any thing he would not help me with. I will miss my friend dearly. Rest in Peace "Petakos" Love you man.

WE WATCHED OUR BELOVED NEPHEW FROM CHILDHOOD TO MANHOOD. A REVERENT ALTAR BOY IN OUR CHURCH, ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP AT OUR FESTIVALS. WE WITNESSED THE LOVE AND CARE THAT HE GAVE TO HIS MOTHER AND THE LOVE AND RESPECT HE SHOWED TOWARDS US. HIS SPIRIT FOR LAUGHTER AND JOY, FRIENDLINESS TO SO MANY AND A BLYTHE SPIRIT FOR LIFE. HIS TRAGEDIES OF THE LOSS OF FATHER AT A YOUNG AGE AND THE LOSS OF HIS SON WERE DEVASTATING. THEN TRAGEDY BEFELL HIM AND WE ARE LEFT TO CONTINUE OUR LOVE AND CARING TO HIM THROUGH OUR MEMORIES, ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ ΑΝΕΣΤΗ! ΠΑΝΑΥΙΟΤΗ - ΕΙΣΕ ΕΙΣ ΤΗΝ ΑΓΓΑΛΙΑ ΤΟΥ! THEO JIMMIE & THEA STAVROULA STATHAKOS

Pete (Panagiotis) Stathakos was my cousin and I spent many summers with the Stathakos family in Galveston. We called him Taki then as we spoke Greek at home. I remember we all walked to Church on Sunday mornings. We all played and argued as children and made a lot of memories. He had a lovely daughter, and my prayers are with Michaelina and her family. Pete was a good son and good man. I remember him helping his mother by working on their house remodeling and repairing it. My prayers are also with Cathy, his sister and her family in this time of loss. In our sorrow at his loss, we know we have the hope of the Resurrection and the love of Christ our Savior. "O God of spirits, and of all flesh, who has trampled down death, crushed the power of the devil, and granted life to your world, do thou yourself, O Lord, give rest to the soul of your servant, Panagiotis, who has fallen asleep, in a place of light, a place of green pasture, a place of repose, where there is no grief, sorrow or mourning. Forgive every sin which he has committed in word or deed or thought, for Thou art a good God who loves mankind. For there is no one who lives and does not sin; only Thou art without sin; Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness and Thy word is truth. "With the Saints give rest, O Christ, to the soul of Your servant, Panagiotis, where there is no pain, nor sorrow, nor suffering, but life everlasting.”
