I knew Chief Pressler in the Spencer. He was a true professional. I remember he wanted to be a locksmith in retirement. He was the OOD when I checked out of the Spencer and last person I talked to from that, my favorite unit. R.I.P. Chief!

Paul was a super guy. One time when I was sick onboard the ship he went to town and got medicine for me.

JUST FOUND OUT THAT PAUL DIED. MY HUSBAND OF 30 YEARS JUST DIED. I WAS PAUL'S FIRST REAL GIRLFIRND WHEN HE WAS WITH THE HONOR GUARD IN ALEXANDRIA,VA AND THE USCG. HE WAS VERY KIND UNTIL I WENT TO COLLEGE IN 1977-78. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW HOW HE DIED BUT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SO LONG AGO. WE WERE TOGETHER WHEN HE TRANSFERRED TO PORTSMOUTH, VA. HE ALSO INTRODUCED ME TO SEVERAL FRIENDS OF MANY YEARS. I GAINED ALOT OF POSITIVE AS WELL AS NEGATIVE ENERGY FROM PAUL. I WAS 3-4 YEARS YOUNGER BUT LEARNED ALOT FROM PAUL. I WISH YOUR FAMILY IS AT PEACE. JUSING FOR A RESPONSE. BEST WISH. PAM

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. I knew Paul from our O'Connell years and last saw him at a reunion. Paul was always a very sweet person and I know that the family will miss him, but feel his presence always. Again, my condolences to your family.
