Randall Wayne Welsh, 57, of Galveston, passed away January 24, 2014. He was born August 3, 1956, in Galveston. Growing up, Randy was active in Cub Scouts, Little League Baseball, and bowling. He played the trumpet in middle school and high school band. Randy loved playing the guitar and also enjoyed bike riding, fishing, and listening to music on his radios. Randy was a talented mechanic who would work on any engine. He was a very giving and caring person who would have given the shirt off his back for his family or friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his father, Robert O. Welsh. He is survived by his mother, Chris Bertolino Welsh; sons, Ricky Welsh and wife, Janet; and Randall Welsh and wife, Rachel; sister, Vickie Socias and husband, Gabe; brothers, Robbie Welsh and Rodney Welsh and wife, Karen; grandchildren: Brandon Welsh, Kyle Welsh, Jailynn Welsh and Madilynn Welsh, numerous cousins and nephews and one niece.
Randy’s family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 29th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, led by Deacon Sam Dell’Olio, with burial following at Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Socias, Brandt Socias, Gabe Socias, Devin Welsh, Robbie Welsh, and Rodney Welsh.
