My Aunt Jeannie, I love you and will miss you more than you know. I'm very sad to not have you with us any longer but the Lord called you home. He has other plans. I'll never forget our great talks on the back patio, listening to you and my mama tell stories until someone wet themselves! That is my Aunt Jeannie! A kind, strong hearted woman that always knew how to turn a frown upside down! RIP Aunt Jeannie 💔

My condolences to Mr. Russell and his family. Many happy memories of Jeannie be with you all, and I hope that these promises from Jehovah God will help you endure. "Do not be anxious....but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7; Isaiah 25:8 NWT.

We are so saddened by the loss of Jeannie. A friend from Stephen F. Austin and Ball High School days, she was constantly in motion and there was never a dull moment when she was around. We shared many a bus ride as seatmates on out of town trips with the Tornettes and the BHS football team. Sleep in Heavenly peace Jeannie. Till we meet again... 😪

Jeannie and I had a great time together while in elementary school. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember spending many nights her house and her mother always making us homemade french fries. They were a treat. I later had the privilege of teaching both of her lovely daughters at Our Lady of Guadalupe School in Galveston. I am sorry I cannot attend the services. I send my sympathy to the entire Nelson Family.
Danielle Arnett left a message on March 10, 2019:
I used to tend to Brandy and Shelly during the years that they bowled at Seahorse Lanes in Galveston. Jeannie always tried to stay in contact after that by sending messages of greeting through my brother. I always appreciated her thought to reach out and have never forgotten Jeannie or her girls. My hope is that Jeannie is at peace and that her daughters can also find peace as they miss her. Jeannie was a nice lady.

Jeannie, you were one of the first people I met when I moved to Galveston several years ago I never thought that the lady and gentlemen that came in for a natural light at almost the same time every late afternoon would become my closest friend. You made me feel like I belonged there then you welcomed me into your home and family. Heaven received a special angel and I will forever cherish the memories and laughter I shared with you. I will forever carry you in my heart. Shelly words can not express how much your mom meant to me, know that I loved her dearly. My deepest condolences and prayers go out to y’all. Jeannie till we meet again my sweet friend Rest In Peace. Deepest sympathy Paula Hebert

Sorry to hear about the loss of another childhood friend. Can't begin to count the number sandwiches I had at her house when we were going to grade school at Sacred Heart. After high school, we sort of lost touch with one another, but many years later she worked with my wife for a couple of years at the Shriner's Burn Research lab. Funny how "good ole" friends never leave us. Jeannie, may you rejoice upon seeing God's face in Heaven. Lee Roy Biondo.
