I met Bob at a Kilsby Tube grand opening party in 1978 (?) He wanted to talk to me because I worked for a Mill that he was interested in as a supplier for his new company US Alloy. I was recently divorced and much more interested in one of the hostesses hired for the party, and my attention span was suffering. Bob became very frustrated with that, and I certainly never blamed him (angry words may have been spoken?). From that auspicious beginning we developed a great friendship revolving around business (a little), and golf (a lot). I was honored to play with him in 5 or 6 member/guests at Galveston CC over the years. Bob and Mary, well mostly Mary , were great hosts and we always had a blast. It was worth getting 'Bobbed' a few times just for the memories. Bob White did things his way without regrets. What's not to admire about that? Peace out, White Eagle!

The world will not be the same without Bob. He was truly an icon in both my personal and business life. In my 33 years in Houston, he has been one of my cherished associates.
