Ronald Edward Frugia Sr., 61, of Dickinson went to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday morning, December 26, 2014, with his family at his side.
Ronnie was born on January 18, 1953 in Houston. He was the son of Claude and Lois Frugia. Ronnie married the love of his life, Lisa Kusnerik, on October 26, 1981. He worked as a process operator at Basell for 20 years until his health prevented him from doing so any longer. Aside from his career at Basell, Ronnie had an entrepreneurial side which included car detailing, shrimping, truck driving, and motorcycle illumination. Over the years he had many hobbies which included restoring classic automobiles, motorcycle riding, barbequing, cheering on the Texans, as well as spending time with his children and grandchildren. Ronnie became a member of the ACTS team to share his testimony and help other men grow in their faith after he, himself, experienced the love of Jesus Christ at a retreat that he attended. Once Ronnie came to know Jesus he attended RCIA classes at Shrine of the True Cross Church to learn more about the Catholic faith. On September 21, 2013 he received all of his sacraments including convalidating his marriage to his wife Lisa. Ronnie never met a stranger and was loved by many for his outgoing personality and humor.
He was preceded in death by his father, Claude Frugia; his mother, Lois Frugia; and brothers, Johnny Frugia and Jerry Frugia Sr.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Lisa Kusnerik Frugia, of Dickinson; his children: Misty Frugia of Livingston, Ronnie Frugia Jr. and his wife Lisa Pilcher Frugia of League City, Jamie Frugia Garza and her husband Elliott Garza of Friendswood, Melissa Frugia Dienst and her husband Michael Dienst of Dickinson and Shelby Frugia of Dickinson.
