Sharon leaves me with very fond memories from childhood through adulthood. We were in my cousin’s wedding together and spent many good times at Curran’s Cottage in East Haven. Always a kind person, she had an infectious, fun loving laugh. My sincere condolences to her family and friends. ~ Susan Santillo Byrne

I was very sorry to leaarn of Sharon;s death. We could all learn an imporant lesson form her--focus on what is important-- firends and family. Her home was one in which all were welcome and where, it sometimes seemed, all came. All certainly ate well, knew they were carred for and had fun.

Sincere condolences to the family and dear friends . I know this is a big loss for everyone. Praying for your strength and may the comfort of God help you during this difficult time . Remembering you Sharon on this day . The many times we dressed alike on Fridays and special occasions. You were a very strong person . I remember the tender and sensitive side in which you easily cried happy tears or sad tears in comforting others . You were a walking encyclopedia with so much intelligence and knowledge that you loved sharing. Your nursing was expert and pure excellence. Thanks for all the recipes you shared . I have many of your handwritten recipes and will cherish them forever. No more worries or pain .. nothing but glory and I know your already working amongst the angels. Tell Brianna hi. Hugs and kisses . See y’all later .. Carol

Condolences to all who loved her. She was my childhood best friend whom I admired deeply. At a time when many young women did not move so easily in the world Sharon was exceptional. She was brave to go to Yale. She was brave get her nursing license. She was brave to leave home to go to Galveston, alone, she was brave to work the burn unit. I am fortunate to have had such a friend. “Look what happens with love like that. It lights up the sky.” Rumi

Although we haven't met in years, I remember Sharon's tending to my children in Dr. Robinson's private practice, and remember sharing and laughing with her at Dr. R's Christmas parties many years ago. I think I recall that Sharon and her husband and children were neighbors of ours on Tarpon for a time. Sharon was a light in the darkness and had a laugh that brought laughter from those around her. Rest well, Sharon.

It was my privilege to have worked with Sharon in TDCJ where, regardless of how busy she was, Sharon always made time for co-workers. She was respected and genuinely liked by everyone there. Sharon was a genuinely warm. caring person who welcomed everyone. We enjoyed Sharon's genuine warmth and hospitality at numerous Mardi Gras parties that she and Bryan hosted. Sharon taught me my first lesson in TDC as a doctor in 1994...and I still remember her saying this: The inmates have plenty of people to punish them; you are their doctor and always remember that.

My heart goes out to her husband and family. Sharon will be missed here on earth and celebrated in Heaven with our Lord Jesus. As the Bible says: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him. Sharon has seen and heard the amazing things that God has prepared! May she rest in peace until we see her in the heavenly place.
