Sharon Marie Slade (nee Pehnke), 66, of Montgomery, Texas, passed away June 23, 2014. She was born May 31, 1948 in Galveston, Texas. Sharon was blessed with a loving family and enjoyed a wide range of experiences and ideas growing up. She became the embodiment of creativity and caring, and a blessing in many people’s lives. Sharon was a positive person who saw the good in people and in circumstances. She had a strong love of family and friends, and was always a staunch believer in individuals and their dreams. She encouraged her children to believe in themselves and pursue their dreams. In her eyes, her children and grandchildren shined brighter than any star, and her friends were heroes right out of legend. She loved all children and was happiest when sharing in their world (especially when teaching arts and crafts). Her caring extended to all critters; she worked as a volunteer to rehabilitate rescued wildlife in her home. She was loved and will be missed, but will always be with us in our memories.
