Douglas S Wamer left a message on September 9, 2021:
I worked with this man for 35 years and I have never had a better friend. He was my inspiration that got me to work in Hotel Maintenance all these years. That is all I ever did all my life working and I thank him for that. I will miss him more than can ever be mentioned.

Steve and I first met back in 7th grade and remained friends for over 50 years. We were both in each other’s weddings as well. He will be missed by his family and friends, he loved music, outdoors and had a rather dry sense of humor that fit him well. I lost a good friend, may you Rest In Peace, until we meet again. Pat

Becky, So sorry to hear of Steve’s passing, this was very surprising. I met Steve a few years ago while working at The Galveston Daily News. He was very helpful making my collection job easier. In this short time I considered Steve a friend and will always consider him a friend. God Bless with deepest sympathy. Jimmie Ramirez, Jr.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Becky and family I was extremely saddened to hear this and still it is hard to believe. I really enjoyed hanging out with Steve at our numerous UTMB happy hours throughout the years. I have many fun memories of Steve and will cherish them knowing that he is looking over us from above and will keep us all safe from harm. God has a plan that none of us know. Every day is a gift. Hugs and prayers for you all. May God Bless you and keep you safe.
