Our beloved Suzanne “Suzy” Marie Gonzales, a loving member of St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, was born September 20, 1951, in Rosenberg, Texas, and entered eternal life on June 16, 2016 in Galveston, Texas. She went to be with our Lord at age 64.
Suzy was preceded in death by her father, L. Frank Jodarski; and her mother, Elizabeth A. Jodarski.
Her spirit is carried on by her husband, Jesse Gonzales; son, Kendall J. Gonzales and wife, Cynthia; only grandchild, Victor J. Gonzales; sisters: Karen B., Janis and Bruce M., and Candace B.; niece, Ginger and Hurley J.; nephews, Michael and Laurel B., Jeffery B., and Sky M.; and countless family and friends who love her very much.
Suzy proudly held the titles of bookkeeper and customer service representative at Hometown Bank here in Galveston for over 24 years. She loved working at the bank, so much so that most of the members she waited on would agree that she shined with her own light.
Suzy will be remembered by her family and friends for her enduring faith and love for God. She was a gentle, caring, loyal woman who cared unconditionally, gave without question, and she constantly held honesty in high regard. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. We love you, Suzy!
