Townsend Mendenhall Buggey IV died peacefully at home on November 1, 2012. He was a resident of Galveston for 32 years and owner of Leak Seekers Refrigeration. He had many loyal clients in Galveston and Kemah. Townsend was from the Philadelphia area and attended The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. He loved NASCAR, Galveston, the beach, his friends and his “brood:” Freddy, Kempner, Winnie, Sealy and Kitten Cacciatore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Townsend M. Buggey III and Evelyn Canaan Buggey, as well as his sisters, Lynn and Carol.
He is survived by his wife, Christa Buggey; sister, Marianne Buggey; nephew, Kevin Buggey; niece, Kelly Nicholas and grandnephew, Izaiah Lewis; as well as many nieces and nephews and Christa’s family.
“Grieve not nor speak of me with tears. But laugh and talk as though I were beside you. I loved you so…’twas Heaven here with you.”
An informal gathering will be held at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, Galveston, TX on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 10:00 AM.
