Ursula Carter Marinelli, 91, of Galveston, passed away Friday, November 27, 2015, in San Antonio, following several months of illness.
Ursula was born March 14, 1924, in Galveston. She graduated from Ball High School and had many lifelong friends on the island with whom she served in social and community activities. Ursula also volunteered for many years as a docent at The Grand 1894 Opera House. Ursula moved to San Antonio after Hurricane Ike to be closer to her daughter. Even though she no longer lived on the island, her heart remained in Galveston with the many memories of her life there.
Ursula was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Marinelli.
She is survived by her two daughters, Bette Delgado and Nancy Trochesset and husband, Kenneth; grandchildren: Kimberly Ladd and husband, Jimmy, Denise Pignatiello and husband, Dan, Albert Trochesset and wife, Bethany, and Kenneth Trochesset, III; great grandchildren: James, Will and Bridget Ladd; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Ursula’s family will receive visitors beginning at 5:00 pm Tuesday, December 1st, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home. A rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.
Graveside service will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 2nd, at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
