Ursulee Theresa Rahe passed away to be with the Lord on December 20, 2012 at 92 years of age. She is preceded in death by her mother, Ursulee Theresa Rahe and her sister, Georgia Anne Flake. She is survived by a sister, Mary Helen Johnson of Gainesville, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Miss Rahe was born on Galveston island, graduated from Sacred Heart Academy, and received a Masters Degree in Music from the University of Texas at Austin. She spent seventeen years serving the Lord as a Dominican nun in the Catholic Church, under the chosen name of Sister Mary Christopher. After leaving the convent to aid her elderly mother, she became a music teacher in the Galveston ISD schools, where she spent over twenty five years teaching music to the children of Galveston, before retiring in 1989. She was also a well known piano player and organist, having given private lessons to many on the island for decades.

Visitation will be from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Malloy & Son Funeral Home, 3028 Broadway, Galveston, Texas, followed by a funeral mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Galveston, starting at 11:00 a.m.
